First came Cape Town store Merchants On Long in Chelsea, now London is welcoming a new African-inspired pop-up store: Africa At Soboye.
Based at Shoreditch boutique Soboye, the temporary shop launches tonight (26 July) and will remain open throughout the London 2012 Olympic Games until September 19, selling African-inspired fashion, jewellery, accessories and more. Check out the promo video below.
Participating labels include Anita Quansah London, Nkwo (who participated in ARISE Magazine Fashion Week 2012), Chinakwe, Nathanial Hab, Eva Sonaike, Dionne Gooding, MO SAÏQUE and artist Ayo Binitie II.
Items by Soboye´s creative director, Samson Soboye, will also be available. The Nigerian designer, who opened his self-titled boutique in 2002, has also worked for The Guardian and The Independent, among other publications, and taught at the London College of Fashion.
