Describe your spring/summer 2013 collection?
I've used georgette lamé, lurex and silk organza and created texture with laser cutting. It’s all about cool and easy dressing.

This is your second time at NYFW with ARISE. What are your expectations?
We are here to create a meaningful business – ARISE has been so supportive in that. We have met with Vogue and Elle too. Next I want to move into menswear, kidswear, homeward too – world domination!

Who are your African icons?
The Tsemaye Binitie woman is is a modern icon of strength, beauty and glamour. She walks in the room and everyone notices. It's not about physical beauty, it's about the presence she has in the clothes. Every woman is a goddess. My icons are my mother Sade and my sister Temi, my CEO – nothing happens without her.
