A top line-up of African musicians are set to perform at the BT River of Music, a two-day festival showcasing artists from across the globe – just one week before the London 2012 Olympic Games kick off.
Angelique Kidjo, Hugh Masekela, The Invisible Republic of Juju and Baaba Maal will all take to the Africa Stage at Dockland’s new London Pleasure Gardens on Saturday 21 July, with The Noisettes, Muntu Valdo, Ethiopia's Krar Collective and Staff Benda Bilili performing the following day.
Five other world regions will be represented at the Asia Stage in Battersea Park, Europe Stage in Somerset House, Europe Stage in Trafalgar Square, Americas Stage in Tower of London, Oceania Stage at Greenwich's Old Royal Naval College.
