Hennessy has launched a global talent quest, offering the opportunity for two new artists to join the Blue Passion stage at Blues Passion Festival 2012. To vote for one of the top 10 talents on Hennessy's Chase The Stage Facebook App click 'Like' on the artist and commenting. There's one final judging round with an esteemed judging panel, including Maurice Hennessy from the Hennessy family, Blues Passion founder Michel Rolland, editor-in-chief of Clash Magazine Simon Harper and Rolling Stone India’s editor Lalitha Suhasini.
We'll be announcing the winner, who will follow in the hallowed footsteps of Ray Charles, Gil Scott Heron and B B King who have all graced the stage in previous years, in early June.
The 19th Blues Passion Festival takes place 3-8 July in Cognac, France, and ARISE will be reporting live during the event with updates and the best bits from the festival, which this year is headlined by Sting, Tom Jones, Selah Sue, The Cranberries and Hugh Laurie.
Also at the festival, we'll be interviewing ARISE favourite Imany, who will be performing her soulful music on the grounds of the Hennessy home, Chateau Bagnolet, at the close of the festival.
