PiggyBankKids, the charity helping disadvantaged children and young people around the world, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The charity was founded in 2002 by Sarah Brown, the wife of former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and one of ARISE’s 100 Dynamic Women.
Sarah Brown said “PiggyBankKids has achieved so much in the last decade. The Jennifer Brown Research Laboratory has gone from strength to strength in its pioneering efforts to solve pregnancy difficulties and help save newborn lives. We've set ourselves inspiring challenges for future medical research and global education projects”. The charity, under its Education Without Borders programme already has a pilot project underway in South Sudan.
PiggyBankKids has also established the Global Business Coalition For Education, with Sarah Brown as the Founding Chair, which brings together international corporate leaders with the aim of providing quality education for children around the world.
